I'm a regular here because it's down the street from my home, which I love. Yeah it's too crowded, but if you sit in the front individual seats, it's recommended if you want to enjoy food in a vintage look atmosphere. I heard it was a Dunkin' back in the 80s. The food makes up for how crowded it is. I've tried everything from breakfast to lunch. You can't really go wrong. Good hot coffee. For two people you're spending 34 -35 bucks, which is okay. I go every other weekend. Over all 4 to 5 stars.

Two friends and I went to this diner last Sunday, Easter, and it was just half full at 10am! We all ordered differently and loved all of the dishes. Be aware of the 60 min limit on weekends, 90 min on weekdays... we would have liked to stay a bit longer, but they were strict about that time limit. I loved the cinnamon French toast, yum!

This is a great little breakfast restaurant. While the restaurant is small and tight table spaces it makes up for it with a great menu selection and preparation of good quality food. Very nice family place!

Bread & Butter is a cute cafe/diner near downtown Palatine. The inside has a handful of booths and tables to create a quant/personable experience. The staff always has a smile and food is quick to turn around as this brunch hot spot is always busy! I got the biscuits and gravy which was a great portion for myself. The gravy was flavorful and complimented the biscuit well. It wasn't overly carb forward nor smothered in gravy. The side of bacon was not my favorite as it didn't taste freshly prepared. My husband got the sausage gravy skillet which he raved about! Tip: Be prepared as there is a 3.99% charge for anyone using a credit card and the bathrooms are located outside.

The brunch was delicious. There were four of us, two omelets (one was split), and the Country Style Skillet. Veggie Omelet: My wife and my mother split this omelet. It was served with pancakes and fruit. When they finished, the plates looked almost clean. They were delighted with their meal. Country Style Skillet: my son has the Skillet. It was served with toast. Again, he was very pleased with his meal. California Special Omelette: I ordered this one. With a milk allergy, of course, I told them no cheese. When it arrived, I quickly noticed the chef missed that. I usually might become upset, but they were nice about it. They brought me a new one, which was delicious. Our server was fantastic. I wish I'd gotten his name to give him kudos. I hope he reads this - he'll remember us. :) Lastly, we are outdoors on their patio. It overlooks the busy Northwest Highway, but it was lovely.

The is the epitome of an American diner. The counter, the decor, the feel of this place is just a regular, relaxed breakfast joint. Service was excellent. The friendly, jovial attitude was contagious. The food is typical American diner with rolled flat-top omelette. The omelette was slightly over cooked for my liking but everything else was brilliant! The American fries were cooked completely, the corned beef was exactly what you'd expect, and even the muffin was properly toasted. I would come back if I were in the area.

We came here on a Sunday morning and we're seated immediately. I had low expectations walking in because of the looks of the place. However I was pleasantly surprised!! It's a small restaurant, but they have plenty of staff to make sure everyone is served quickly. They were kind to all of our substitutions on the meals. We got the Florentine eggs Benedict (6/10), the loaded oatmeal (10/10), the ham and cheese omelet (4/10), the meat lovers skillet (8/10) and I got 2 eggs(10/10) with chicken breast (7/10) and a side of French toast (10/10). It was a nice place to try IMPORTANT : bathroom is outside. I'd stop at the washroom before coming here.
